Listen Up! Powering Up Your Listening Skills

Have you ever noticed yourself giving the appearance of listening, only to realize you really didn't hear what the other person said? Stephen Covey has said we are often not listening, but merely "reloading" - waiting for the other person to finish so we can finally talk. Effective listening is crucial to communicating productively inside and outside of the organization.

In this workshop, you will:

  • learn how to be a more active listener, especially when the topic is touchy.
  • develop your skills so that you are able to handle difficult communication situations.
  • improve your listening habits to enhance workplace productivity.

You will complete a Personal Listening Profile assessment and examine your own listening habits.

You will leave with an actionable set of skills to carry back into the workplace.
