Description

In this presentation, we will take an industry/operational approach to Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance. We are fortunate to have representatives from Navistar and International Trucks delivering information and best practices for:

  • Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance
  • Tier IV Regeneration & Diesel Exhaust Fluid
  • Brakes and Driveline Maintenance

During this four-hour presentation, the presenters will discuss various best practices for pre-operation, operation and post-operation of trucks. Maintenance and troubleshooting of Tier IV regen equipment will also be discussed. Finally, there will be discussion on brake systems and drivelines commonly found in heavy trucks used by the DOTs and local agencies.

Speaker(s)

John Gislason, Product Support Engineer, Navistar. John provides engineering and best practice support throughout the North America International Truck dealer network. He has extensive experience and education in vehicle and equipment maintenance, specializing in drivability, electronics and software. He is a co-author of post-secondary curriculum used in training our next generation of technicians. Gislason has worked at International for 12 years and has spent over 30 years in the industry. He is also a member of both the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Technology and Maintenance Council where he provides “Voice of Customer” input.
