Culverts are an important asset that tackle a simple task – to convey storm water through roadway sections. From regression equations to outlet discharge, this presentation will walk through the demands of a culvert system and explore various design criteria. Topics to be reviewed:

Michael Gunsch, PE, is the Sr. Project Manager and Principal with Houston Engineering, Inc in Bismarck, ND. Michael provides engineering services to water resource districts, communities, and private clients for site plan and development projects as well as related watershed/water quality evaluations. He has served as Project Manager for numerous watershed improvement projects, stormwater management and master planning efforts, preliminary and final designs, federal, state and local permitting, construction observation, and other assignments as needed.
