Description

A good specification complies with the “5 C’s” of specification writing. It’s complete, correct, clear, concise, and consistent. This course will introduce and define each of these attributes of a good specification. It will also give participants practical, real-world examples of poorly written and well written specifications.

Speaker(s)

Scott Lowe, is a Principal of Trauner Consulting Services, Inc. He is the co-author of the book Construction Delays, Third Edition, and is also past Chairman of CMAA’s Time Management Committee, leading the development of CMAA’s scheduling standards and procedures. Mr. Lowe was the lead developer and an award-winning instructor of the National Highway Institute’s seminar “Managing Highway Contract Claims: Analysis and Avoidance.” Mr. Lowe is a qualified expert who has provided expert testimony at deposition, arbitration, and trial. He has also evaluated numerous construction claims for State DOTs across the nation.
