Description

Everyone has a different idea of and threshold for risk. Do you eat food beyond its expiration date? How about drive without a seatbelt? Employees are empowered to make decisions about safety everyday but are they all on the same page when it comes to evaluating and controlling risk? Policies, procedures, insurance, safety culture, training, engineering controls and many other tools are used to control risk. If they really worked why do so many workplace injuries and fatalities still happen? In this session, we examine how risk is evaluated and the means and methods of controlling it for the purpose of preventing loss.
