Description

This presentation will focus on how you and your team can handle differing site condition issues. The presentation will focus on the federally-mandated differing site conditions clause. Included in the webinar will be a discussion of what a differing site condition is, the difference between a Type 1 and Type 2 differing site condition, and the importance of notice to the fair, and reasonable resolutions of differing site condition issues. The instructor will also go through real differing site conditions issues to help you understand the subtleties of the differing site conditions clause language and its successful implementation.

Scott Lowe, is a Principal of Trauner Consulting Services, Inc. He is the co-author of the book Construction Delays, Third Edition, and is also past Chairman of CMAA’s Time Management Committee, leading the development of CMAA’s scheduling standards and procedures. Mr. Lowe was the lead developer and an award-winning instructor of the National Highway Institute’s seminar “Managing Highway Contract Claims: Analysis and Avoidance.” Mr. Lowe is a qualified expert who has provided expert testimony at deposition, arbitration, and trial. He has also evaluated numerous construction claims for State DOTs across the nation.
