Description
This presentation will be a three-part discussion by a manufacturer of sealing equipment, the Asphalt Institute, and a medical professional from the Western States Burn Center. The presentation will discuss the common causes of asphalt burns when it comes to maintenance and construction operations. Best practices with equipment maintenance and operation will be presented. The Asphalt Institute will introduce their latest safety video and showcase it. Finally, the Western States Burn Center will discuss best practices with treating burns and then describe the process on how to treat burns on the medical side. Personal Protective Equipment needed for asphalt operations and other preventable measures will be shared.
