Description
This presentation will provide reminders for safety and for common errors as well as the impacts of those errors when conducting inspection of in-service bridges. Topics to be covered with two online (Kahoot) reviews:

Speaker(s)
Steve Miller, P.E., is the Structural Engineer and Training Project Manager at Collins Engineers, Inc. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1986. He is a licensed professional engineer and has over 33 years of experience in bridge inspection and design.
Drew Garceau, P.E., CWI, is the Structural Inspections Program Manager at Collins Engineers, Inc. Drew earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University, his MBA from the University of Nebraska, and is a licensed professional engineer in 21 states and U.S. territories. He has over 15 years of experience as a bridge inspector on thousands of routine, fracture critical, complex, and underwater bridge inspections throughout dozens of states. His inspection capabilities are supplemented by being a Certified Welding Inspector, non-destructive testing Level II certified, and by being certified to the highest level, Level III, by the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT).
