Description
Explore how traditional traffic engineering has unintentionally prioritized speed over safety, endangering pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike. In this presentation, we'll examine the flawed principles behind conventional road design and how they impact our communities. Discover innovative, human-centered approaches to urban planning that can create safer, more livable streets and rethink how we design for the needs of all road users. This presentation is derived from the book, "Killed By A Traffic Engineer - Shattering the Delusion that Science Underlies Our Transportation System" by Wes Marshall.
