Why Attend
Most of us know our IQ, or Intelligence Quotient score. Do you know your EQ - your Emotional Intelligence Quotient score? Knowing your EQ is important, because guess which one - IQ or EQ - has the most to do with your success at work and in life? If you guessed EQ, research shows you are right!
As our organizations continue to change in response to a changing environment, expectations for our team contributors are changing as well. We are being asked to do more with less, interact productively on teams - often in a remote setting, deal with constant change and manage stressful situations. In this highly interactive workshop, you will learn about the four components of Emotional Intelligence, and how they can help you to successfully meet the expectations of a team contributor in today's work environment.
In the workshop, you will relate the four components of emotional intelligence to your own work style through assessment and feedback, as well as practice techniques designed to enhance your EQ. You will also learn how EQ can help you to enhance your credibility and improve your influencing skills. You will leave the workshop with a meaningful professional credo that will inspire you and remind you to continue to work on achieving a high EQ.
During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the importance of using Social and Emotional Intelligence in your interactions with others at work.
- Understand and apply the four components of Social and Emotional Intelligence:
- ✓ Self Awareness
- ✓ Self Regulation
- ✓ Other/Social Awareness
- ✓ Relationship Management
- Assess your own strengths and development areas with regard to Social and Emotional Intelligence.
- Practice aspects of the four components of Social and Emotional Intelligence.
- Choose goals and practices to enhance your Emotional Intelligence and improve both your life and work experience.
